Birds can make their nests in your gutters because it seems like a cozy, enclosed space that birds can feed their young in because it’s high up and not many animals can get up there. The birds would come back down to his yard, grab sticks and go back into his gutters. He realized that he may have birds making nests in his gutters and didn’t want the nests to block the water from draining. He voiced a concern that he didn’t want to completely ruin the nests or if there were baby birds he didn’t want to have them get hurt, he requested to have the birds’ nests placed on a tree next to the gutters and that any baby birds should be placed in the tree gently. Our technicians did just that. They made sure to remove the nest and the two baby birds but placed them in the tree right next to the gutters so that the mamma bird would hear them when she came back and they would be okay. He was so happy that we listened to his concern and that we were compassionate about the animals we were removing. Once the gutter guards were installed, the technician took pictures to show Manny so he could see how the guards would prevent the birds from doing this again.
