Washing Exterior Windows With a Water-fed Pole

Oct 1, 2015

There is a faster and a safer way to wash the exterior windows, particularly if the windows are at a tall height - A Water-fed Pole System. A waterfed pole will help you reach and clean the windows and all exterior surfaces that are more than twenty five meters high. These poles also eliminate the need for ladders, which is why cleaning windows is now safer and faster. By eliminating ladders, you also avoid damaging landscaped areas such as flower beds and lawns. Conventional cleaning methods for windows end up touching only the surfaces. The frames of the windows are generally left untouched. With a waterfed pole, the frames will also get cleaned without any additional effort on the cleaners’ part. The result is a finish that not only looks better than the traditional system of cleaning, but it also increases the life of the window frames. It does this by removing the corrosive pollutants that eat away at frames over time. Not only will you save money on future maintenance, but you’ll spend less time doing it. Working without the use of ladders also reduces the traditional cleaning time by 50%!

How a Water-fed System Works

A water-fed system uses purified water. The water that you use straight from the tap is full of impurities that include sediments and minerals. These impurities become the main reason why you cannot simply use a hose affixed to a tap and clean your windows or your car and then leave them to dry – you’ll end up with streaks and white spots everywhere. By using purified water, you eliminate these impurities. After using the pure waterfed pole system, you can safely leave your windows to dry and remain free of streaks and spots. On the cleaning site, water is pumped by hosing. This is handled by a cleaning operator. The cleaner uses telescopic poles. The size of these poles depends on the height the windows have been placed at. These poles carry cleaning brushes at their ends. They allow the cleaners to reach the windows and clean them at heights up to eighty feet from the ground without the use of ladders.

The Preferred Method of Cleaning Windows

When appropriately used, the water-fed pole system of cleaning windows is now the preferred method of window cleaning, at least commercially. Its domestic use is also on a rise. Appropriate use of waterfed poles helps the cleaners to reach windows that are much above a sensitive ground area like flower beds and lawns and also reach such areas that were previously considered inaccessible. These poles offer full safety to the window cleaners and they also help in reducing disturbance to the occupants of a house or a building. Roofs of conservatories and their windows can now easily and safely be cleaned from a standing position by a window cleaner and this becomes possible with even a short water-fed pole. Office buildings can also get cleaned and there will be no damage to the area beneath the windows. When the parking lots underneath the windows are full, there will be no handicap to the window cleaners because there is no need for using tall ladders and placing them on the ground in the parking lots. You will avoid damage to the window sills and the frames as is possible with the traditional method of leaning ladders against such structures. Additionally, water-fed poles are used to effectively & quickly clean solar panels; Perfect for improving energy efficiency.

Advantages of using a Water-fed Pole System

With the waterfed pole system, the pure water is forced through the water hoses. It travels upward through the poles and then spreads to a brush. The major advantage of a waterfed pole system is that it will leave your windows, its mullions and frames much cleaner than you could manage with just a squeegee. It will remove dirt from the window frame grooves from crevices and places where it would be ordinarily quite dangerous to use ladders. Other big advantage of the waterfed pole system is that it is extremely safe for the window cleaners. As the cleaners work from the ground, they are safe as there is no need for ladders and other equipment. Fiber poles that are made of carbon are easy and light to control at heights that can go up to eighty feet. There is a nylon mono-filament at the top of the pole. The frames and the glass can be cleaned by a simple movement of the head of the brush. This head remains constantly wet. The filters do not contain any chemicals; natural elements used are resin beads, carbon sediment and salt. They are environmentally safe and they do not leave any streaks or spots on the window glass.
